2027 Education Concerts
Join us for The Composer is Dead!
We are excited about the upcoming 2027 Education Concerts on Wednesday, March 24th at 9:45 am CST and 11:15 am CST. We are looking forward to seeing you and your students there.

This year’s concerts will feature Johann Strauss II’s Overture to Die Fledermaus and Nathaniel Stookey’s The Composer is Dead, a who dunnit, murder mystery piece that explores the different instruments in the orchestra while also solving the mystery of who murdered the composer. Education materials will be provided soon.
Take a look at last year’s education materials, featuring Ottorino Respighi’s first movement of Trittico Botticelliano “Primavera” (“Spring”) and Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and discover how these two composers used various tools, such as pitch, timbre, rhythm, and dynamics, to tell these wonderful stories through music.
